Prue founded Take the Lead (VIC) in 2019 bringing together years of professional experience within the veterinary industry and behaviour  training space to support dogs and their guardians across the Surf Coast, Geelong, and the Bellarine Peninsula.

Whilst Prue’s credentials are impressive, what really stands out is her compassionate, welfare-centred approach. From everyday manners to assistance dog training and collaboration with veterinary professionals to aid in support and management of  complex behaviour cases, Prue meets every dog where they are—with skill, care, and kindness.

Alexis Davison

Certificate IV Dog Behavioural Training, MDI (CPDT), KPA CTP, CPDT-KA

A professional dog trainer since 2002, Alexis founded Un-Chase!® in 2012 to help dog guardians effectively manage and prevent chasing behaviours. Through in-person workshops, online courses, and professional trainer programs, she has helped countless dog owners regain control and confidence with their dogs.

Alexis is a Karen Pryor Academy faculty member, responsible for teaching the KPA Dog Trainer Professional Program in Australia and New Zealand. A sought-after speaker, she has presented at international conferences, including the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (USA), Pet Professional Guild (USA & Australia), and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers Australia.

Workshop Terms and Conditions

Dogs attending workshops must have a current vaccination for the recommended core vaccines in the workshop location.

The primary handler must be at least 16 years of age.

If restrictions are implemented by the Australian government and your workshop needs to be cancelled, then this will be done without penalty to you. In addition, penalties will not apply if you are unable to attend the workshop because you or a member of your household have COVID-19 symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19. Penalties will also not apply if your trainer has COVID-19 symptoms or is sick or the business is unable to operate due to lockdown directions or restrictions.

If you are sick or unwell for any reason (in addition to COVID-19), you will be unable to attend the workshop. If this is the case, you will not incur any penalties and you will be provided with a full refund.

All parties agree to follow all instructions given by the instructors at all times.

All parties agree that my dog will wear a flat collar and/or harness. Correction (check) chains and other equipment such as prong collars or electric shock collars are strictly prohibited.

All parties agree to use force-free, positive reinforcement training methods throughout the workshop.

All parties personally assume all responsibility or liability for our dog/s and agree to hold Un-Chase!, Take the Lead (Vic), or any of their representatives free/harmless from any claims for loss or injury to persons or things due to negligence or any other reason while on or upon the training premises or grounds or near the entrance thereto.

Registrations will not be confirmed until full payment is received.
